The Artists in Residence Program was created to provide free housing for artists in Oliva, Spain, in exchange for original art. Art is at the discretion of the artist, but should relate to Spain or the area, and should approximate at least $600 value per week of stay or more.

Homeowners, Chris and Beth Williams offer Casa Posidonia to selected artists for one or two-week stays. An application is required and is available upon request. The artist is responsible for transportation to, from, and in Spain as well as all art supplies. A contract is required and will be sent to you for your review before your application to the program is approved.

 Casa Posidonia is a recently renovated, 2-bedroom, 2 1/2 bathroom home located in Oliva Spain, a small town off the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. The home sleeps up to 6 people and is located in the historic part of the city. It is close to many charming towns such as Denia, Xavea, and Calpe, and is an hour drive to larger cities such as Valencia and Alicante.
