Meet Beth and Chris Williams

In the spring of 2018, Beth and Chris purchased their first home in Oliva, Spain. They were drawn to the authentic Spanish charm that Oliva provided. It is a quiet town, nestled on the eastern coast of Spain in the La Safor region of the province of Valencia. The community is diverse, with families who have resided in the town for generations, along with many new families who have moved there from other parts of Europe and the United States.

Beth and Chris currently reside in Martinsville, Indiana. They travel to spain frequently and spend close to six months of the year in Oliva. They are collectors of art, and have been honored to host artists from all over the world at Casa Posidonia. They are excited to share the beauty of the region, and hope it will provide artistic inspiration for all who participate in the Artist in Residency program.

A note from your hosts:

“I love all styles of art, and I am in awe of artistic talent. Looking at art brings me into the piece itself. It’s an experience, not just a picture. Spain, in particular, Oliva, is the same for me. I love the country, the people, the architecture, the food, and the social culture. It never grows old. I want to share that with others, and see that love for Spain reflected in their artistic visions.”
